East Palo Alto: Two found shot dead in car after crash

EAST PALO ALTO — Two men were found with fatal gunshot wounds inside a car that crashed Sunday night, authorities said Monday.

In a statement, police said officers responded around 8:11 p.m. Sunday to the 100 block of Gardenia Way for a report of a multi-vehicle accident.

Police found a collision with two people suffering from gunshot wounds inside a vehicle. Despite life-saving measures from paramedics who also responded, both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police identified them Monday afternoon as Antonio Martinez Moradel, 23, of Oakland and Roberto Velasquez Martinez, 23, of Chico. There were no reports of injuries to any other people involved in the collision.
